Rembrandt van Rijn worked and lived in this house for nearly 20 years (1639 – 1558). World-famous paintings (The Night Watch) and prints (The Hundred Guilder Print) were conceived here. Dozens of 17th century artists received their training under this roof. It’s also home to an impressive collection of paintings, graphics, etching, drawings and copperplate engravings.
